For three decades, The Byerly Foundation has served our community with a first-rate commitment to helping others. This legacy originated with Dr. W. L. Byerly, who served patients in his home in 1933, before Byerly Hospital officially opened to the public.
How we support the needs of our community today has continued to evolve since The Byerly Foundation’s formation in 1995. I am honored to lead what has become a dynamic movement for creating positive change in our community, improving the local quality of life, and helping our vibrant city and people flourish at their highest potential. Our 30-year, mission-driven, and philanthropic impact has surpassed $25 million in grants, shaping the fabric of Hartsville and its surrounding areas. By supporting economic development, education, and social needs, the Foundation has touched every individual and family in our community.
I invite you to celebrate this monumental 30-year milestone with us before we turn our attention to the future, convening, connecting, and collaborating to make Hartsville stronger, better, and more equipped for success than ever before. In the days ahead, we will intensify our efforts to grow our economic base, invest wisely in workforce development and housing initiatives, and continue our support of non-profit organizations, making a positive and meaningful difference across our town.
From the start, no idea has been too big or too small for The Byerly Foundation. Working together, we know anything is possible.
Sincerely,
Brianna Douglas, Executive Director
